The Daily Campus is the University of Connecticut’s student-run newspaper. Initially as a copyeditor, I was only involved in the publishing aspect of the daily newspaper. After spending many late nights applying AP Style to each story, I joined the Life Section as a Staff Writer and ran my own column titled “The Backlog.”

The Backlog
I continued “The Backlog” after the previous columnist graduated from the University of Connecticut. I adapted the column in my own style and reviewed video games based on different genres each month. My reviews ended with a grade for each game on a 5-point scale, despite some of my harshest criticisms, I attempted to remain objective and respectful to the developers behind the screens.
